Retail consulting business Kantar Retail has named Bryan Roberts director, Retail Insights, for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Roberts comes from Planet Retail, a global retail insights firm, where he was global research director.
In his new role, Roberts will lead the company’s EMEA division and work directly with clients. Roberts also will oversee development and marketing for Kantar Retail Market Insights products and research throughout Europe. He is based in London.
Roberts has 15 years experience covering retail sectors and trends around the world for a variety of retail analysis businesses. At Planet Retail, he oversaw the company’s analyst team and specialized in food, drug and mass retail channel insights. Throughout his career, Roberts has advised global retailers and consumer goods manufacturers on issues including private-label strategies and store concept development.
In February, retail consultancies Retail Forward, MVI, Cannondale Associates and Glendinning Management Consultants joined to form Kantar Retail, a unit of WPP, a global advertising and marketing services company.
