ChannelAdvisor customers see continued Amazon growth at 68 percent
Research Triangle Park, NC – July 21, 2010 – ChannelAdvisor, a solution provider that enables online retailers to improve efficiency and increase revenue, today announced more than 230 new customer additions. Noteworthy ChannelAdvisor customer additions included Dormbuys and Jockey International as well as United Kingdom customers Creative Labs and Toys “R” Us, bringing the number of Internet Retailer 500 customers using ChannelAdvisor to 123. ChannelAdvisor also expanded its relationships with existing customers including Brookstone, Franklin-Covey, iNetVideo.com, National Trade Supply and Pots and Pans.
Benefiting from Amazon’s extraordinary growth, ChannelAdvisor’s online retailers experienced 68 percent same-store-sales (SSS) growth on Amazon this quarter. Due in part to the residual aftereffects of eBay’s March seller changes, retailers have seen a three percent decrease in SSS revenue in the second quarter. For June, Paid Search SSS increased by 10.5 percent and Comparison Shopping SSS increased by 4.3 percent.

Our same-store-sales figures show growth across Amazon, paid search and comparison shopping, proving that activity on multiple channels helps retailers sell more.”

National Trade Supply is using ChannelAdvisor’s Managed services option, which means that the company outsources its Paid Search program completely to ChannelAdvisor’s team of experts who are responsible for optimizing the Paid Search program for success. Launch Plus caters to the savvy online retailer who uses ChannelAdvisor’s services team to expedite the launch of their campaigns then later takes over the day-to-day managing on a self-service basis. ChannelAdvisor’s Guided services offering provides a six-month ramp-up period of strategic guidance to help get a retailer’s sales up to speed on a particular channel.

Regarding product updates this quarter, ChannelAdvisor released its CRM Connector for salesforce.com, enabling online retailers to fully manage customer transaction activity and integrate it with Salesforce CRM to better handle day-to-day business activities. ChannelAdvisor also launched the new Cross-Channel Dashboard that gives retailers the ability to compare performance week-over-week, month-over-month and across various channels and sites.
