Why They're Hot: Beauty products retailer Sephora USA Inc. gives shoppers several ways to discover how to use its products. For example, a user-generated section of the site called “Beauty Board” lets a shopper take a “selfie” of herself using Sephora products, post the image and let others click and buy the items in the photo. Shoppers can navigate Beauty Board’s results by Makeup Looks, Skincare, Fragrance, or Hair Styles, and each image is accompanied by a detailed breakdown of the products needed to achieve the look, as well as related photos and comments. Meanwhile, another section of the site, Sephora TV, features how-to videos that demonstrate how to achieve particular looks. In some cases, the shopper can click through directly to a desired product page to purchase items discussed in a video."
