Senior execs will fill in for Emilia Fabricant, who’s resigning for personal reasons.
Emilia Fabricant has resigned as president of women’s apparel retail chain bebe stores inc., and her duties will be handled by chairman and CEO Manny Mashouf and Renee Bell, executive vice president of merchandising, the retailer reports.
Fabricant, a veteran retail executive who joined bebe as president two years ago, stepped down for personal reasons effective Aug. 17. “Bebe wishes to express its appreciation for the many contributions Emilia has made and we all wish Emilia well in her future endeavors,”Mashouf says.
Fabricant joined bebe in August 2010 from Charlotte Russe, a retailer of young women’s apparel, where she had been president and chief marketing officer. Charlotte Russe is No. 364 in the Internet Retailer Top 500; bebe is No. 371. Bebe designs and produces women’s apparel and accessories under the bebe, Bebe Sport, bbsp and 2b bebe brands. In addition to its e-commerce sites, bebe.com and 2bstores.com, the retailer operates 246 physical stores, including 198 under the bebe name and 48 under the 2b bebe name.
