Alibaba’s Tmall Global now features goods from 14,500 overseas brands, 80% of them selling in China for the first time.
Performics parent company Publicis Groupe buys the Asian firm.
Publicis Groupe has bought Resultrix, an India-based digital marketing agency that also operates offices in Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. Publicis did not say how much it paid for Resultrix. Publicis also owns Performics Inc., another digital marketing services provider.
The acquisition of Resultrix, founded in 2008, will boost the presence of Publicis in India, Publicis says. Resultrix CEO Vidur Luthra and chief operating officer Gulrez Alam will continue to oversee the company they co-founded. They will report to Daina Middleton, global CEO for Performics, and Gareth Mulryan, managing director of Performics, Asia Pacific.
Resultrix will operate as a unit of Performics, according to Publicis Groupe. “Resultrix has an impressive track record as a leading search and interactive services agency,” says Middleton. “Their highly sophisticated suite of digital solutions perfectly complements our offering and will solidify our leadership position around the world.”
Performics says it operates in 18 countries. Resultrix services include social media strategy and mobile marketing.
