Performance Bike hires a former Victoria’s Secret exec to head e-commerce

Andy Kennemer aims to help the e-retailer expand mobile technology and social marketing.

Multichannel cycling products retailer Performance Bicycle has hired Andy Kennemer as senior vice president of e-commerce.

He will be responsible for advancing the retailer’s multichannel strategy by expanding digital advertising, social media marketing and mobile commerce technology.

Kennemer comes from digital marketing agency Resource Interactive LLC, where he most recently worked as vice president of social media and marketing. Prior to that, Kennemer was vice president of Internet strategy and online acquisition for Victoria’s Secret Direct, No. 16 in Internet Retailer’s Top 500 Guide,where he oversaw web site user experience and online marketing programs.

“Andy will keep us at the forefront of innovation and usability, ensuring site features and overall experience exceed customer expectations,” says David Pruitt, Performance Bicycle CEO. “Andy’s e-commerce experience and acute understanding of the online customer experience, coupled with his fresh perspective on digital media, will be a strong asset for our company.”

Performance Bicycle is No. 536 in Internet Retailer’s Second 500 Guide.
