Moosejaw Mountaineering has hired Michael Moore as its head of information technology. He will oversee all I.T. functions at Moosejaw, including maintaining its e-commerce site and acting as an intermediary between marketing, merchandising and other departments on technical issues, the outdoor gear retailer says.
Since 2004, Moore held various positions at educational toy e-retailer Lakeshore Learning Materials, where he most recently was e-commerce director.
“We're super excited to have Michael join the Moosejaw madness,” says senior vice president of marketing and technology Eoin Comerford. “ Michael brings a ton of in-the-trenches e-commerce experience from building LakeshoreLearning.com into a market leader. It's going to be a blast working with Michael to keep Moosejaw at the forefront of e-commerce technology.”
In June, Comerford will speak at Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition 2012 in Chicago in a session entitled, “Making your e-commerce site play nice with smartphones.”
