TAMPA, FLORIDA – Thursday, December 8, 2011 – Jagged Peak, Inc. (OTC BB: JGPK), a leading provider of enterprise-class eCommerce solutions and supply chain services announced today that it has rolled out an array of new functionality in the v5.3 release of the Agile website management module that’s part of the EDGE eCommerce platform.
A number of the enhancements to Agile have been designed to streamline the customer checkout process. Among these is “one-step checkout” that simplifies the process by consolidating the shopping cart, billing, auto ship, cart total, promotion code, payment, ship methods and shipping views all into a single checkout form. Address validation has been upgraded to present customers with a list of valid addresses from which to choose, new “billing view” and “shipping view” forms have been added, and a new gift delivery date option has been made available. Also, customers returning to a site can now pick up where they left off by retrieving a previously abandoned shopping cart.
Another major enhancement to EDGE’s website management module is mobile site support. This new capability features several vertical, smaller-screen footprints. Site administrators can easily configure their web stores to automatically switch to the appropriate view either by browser designation or by giving the customer the option to switch views based on the device they’re using.
Guided search and advanced search, which have been available in Agile for some time, have been expanded to support inventory styles and new text views have been added. Additional new features include shorter “friendly” URLs, product comparisons to enable shoppers to select multiple items for side-by-side evaluation; support for gift certificates; split payments between gift cards and credit cards; and a new store locator that includes hours of operation, directions, distance from zip code, messages and contact information. Site management also has been made easier in the latest version of Agile. The website management module now contains embedded previews for layout, page and styles prior to publishing.
