Multichannel bike retailer Performance Bicycle has hired a senior vice president of marketing. Carol Wentworth will oversee strategic marketing for the company’s e-commerce business, catalogs and more than 100 retail stores, the merchant says.

Most recently, Wentworth was vice president of marketing at hardware retail chain True Value Co., where she managed brand strategy, in-store experience and e-commerce.

Prior to that, Wentworth held marketing positions at supermarket chain Fred Meyer Inc., Campbell Mithun advertising agency and Bread & Circus Supermarkets.

“Carol’s experience with traditional, digital and loyalty marketing is extensive,” says David Pruitt, CEO of Performance Bicycle, No. 536 in Internet Retailer’s Second 500 Guide. “We look forward to utilizing Carol’s wealth of knowledge to help lead our marketing team at Performance Bicycle, and engage and grown our customer base.”
