AbesMarket.com, an online marketplace that sells natural products ranging from food to makeup to clothing features a weekly live broadcast, called “Abe’s Live,” that pairs an industry expert with a product seller to discuss such topics as “How to Plant an Organic Garden” or “All About Natural Fashion.” The site offers over 250 videos that appear on product and seller pages. The e-retailer encourages Abe’s community share their thoughts via a chat box. “We want to let the web be a great conversation piece,” says co-founder Richard Demb. “It’s a way for our customers to interact and get to know the people behind the scenes making the products they buy.” The retailer redesigned its site in November 2011, tweaking the shopping cart, product images and seller pages, and making more space for videos.
