Beauty supplies retailer Sephora.com has a new CEO and global president. Christopher de Lapuente takes over leadership of the company March 31.
De Lapuente comes from Procter & Gamble, which hired him in 1983, according to LVHM, Sephora’s parent. In 2004 he was appointed president of the company’s hair care division and since 2007 has been one of eight group presidents for Procter & Gamble, in charge of the global hair division. He has worked for the company in the United Kingdom, Spain, Turkey, Germany and Switzerland.
De Lapuente also will join the LVHM executive committee.
“Christopher de Lapuente will bring to the group a wealth of international experience,” says Bernard Arnault, chairman and CEO of LVMH. “His know-how will be a precious asset for the global growth of Sephora and add to the continued success of LVMH."
