QVC’s mobile site led large retailers in four mobile device response time tests.
QVC’s mobile commerce site, m.QVC.com, produced the fastest iPhone access time among large web retailers in November, says Gomez, the web performance division of Compuware Corp. Last month, m.QVC.com produced an average iPhone mobile response time of 1.70 seconds.
The next best iPhone response time was from m.Newegg.com with 2.65 seconds, followed by Williams-Sonoma.com (3.33 seconds), Dell.com (3.38) and m.Walmart.com (3.54).
QVC’s mobile site also led the way in Gomez response time testing for three other mobile devices last month: Sprint’s HTC Hero (1.72 seconds), T-Mobile’s HTC Dream (4.31 seconds) and Verizon’s Droid (1.72 seconds). M.Newegg.com finished second in November tests for each device.
Gomez measured response time as the end-to-end time elapsed while downloading each mobile site.
