As customers continue to seek online shopping discounts, web retailer Wine.com is hoping to draw them in during the holiday season with a “Deal of the Day” program. Each weekday from Friday, Nov. 26 through Friday, Dec. 17, the retailer will unveil discounts such as $10 off orders of $75 or more and one-cent shipping on gift baskets.

The company will promote its holiday deals through social networks Facebook and Twitter.

“Corporate gifting is back to levels we haven’t seen in several years, and our customers often wait until the last minute to shop, so shipping deals and our Steward-Ship program are big drivers this time of year. We’re also excited to see how mobile purchases are impacted by our new free app for iPad,” says Rich Bergsund, president and CEO, Wine.com, No. 229 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.

The iPad app  features a “Label Flow” option that lets shoppers swipe thousands of wine labels and make purchases within the app.
