Revenue increased 11.9% in Q1 of 2015, to $17.26 billion compared with $15.42 billion in the year-ago period.
Wine.com hopes sales will flow from its Deal of the Day promotions through Dec. 17.
As customers continue to seek online shopping discounts, web retailer Wine.com is hoping to draw them in during the holiday season with a “Deal of the Day” program. Each weekday from Friday, Nov. 26 through Friday, Dec. 17, the retailer will unveil discounts such as $10 off orders of $75 or more and one-cent shipping on gift baskets.
The company will promote its holiday deals through social networks Facebook and Twitter.
“Corporate gifting is back to levels we haven’t seen in several years, and our customers often wait until the last minute to shop, so shipping deals and our Steward-Ship program are big drivers this time of year.
