HauteLook bought a travel site operator prior to the launch of the Getaways service.
HauteLook.com, which offers private online sales to more than 3.5 million members, today began selling upscale travel packages. The service, branded HauteLook Getaways, offers the packages with discounts of up to 60%, the private sale operator sales. Consumers can buy full trips and stays at luxury and boutique hotels.
HauteLook says it will offer from three to seven travel-related sales per week on the Getaways section of the HauteLook.com site. Shoppers can view photos of hotels, read reviews from other travelers and book trips from the HauteLook site.
To launch the service, HauteLook bought Private Sale LLC, which operates BonVoyou.com, a site where shoppers can buy members-only travel deals. HauteLook did not say how much it paid for the company.
“Our members already trust us to offer great fashion and style brands at great prices, and now HauteLook Getaways will allow them to take spontaneous weekend trips or well-earned vacations in a way that will fit their lifestyle and budget,” says Adam Bernhard, CEO of HauteLook.
HauteLook is No. 191 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.
