Alibaba’s Tmall Global now features goods from 14,500 overseas brands, 80% of them selling in China for the first time.
Hope Frank joins the web analytics company from mobile data provider Motricity.
Web analytics firm Webtrends Inc. has hired Hope Frank as chief marketing officer. Frank joins the firm after holding leading marketing roles at mobile data provider Motricity and film technology company THX Ltd.
“Hope is a strategic visionary, and unparalleled in digital media,” says Webtrends CEO Alex Yoder. “Hope’s expertise will further accelerate our growth.”
Frank worked with global brands including Nike, Starbucks and Visa through Frank Harrison Perez, a marketing firm she co-founded in 1992. She also has held chief marketing officer positions at consumer electronics companies including Olevia HDTV, SBC and Vivitar Corp. She will work from Webtrends offices in San Francisco and Portland, OR.
Webtrends acquired social media marketing company Transpond in August. The company also says new business bookings increased 85% year over year for the six months ending in June and that it added more than 240 new customers during its 2010 fiscal year.
Frank says that Webtrends, which also provides analytics and development platforms for mobile devices, is well positioned for more growth. “The pace of mobile innovation is unprecedented. As the leading global pure-play in mobile and social analytics, we are in an enviable position,” she says.
