Private investment firm Comvest Partners acquires the financially troubled e-retailer, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in March.
Ash ElDifrawi leaves for a similar job at mobile broadband provider Aircell.
Hayneedle Inc. which operates more than 200 specialized e-commerce sites, has lost its chief marketing officer. Ash ElDifrawi has taken the job of executive vice president and chief marketing officer for Aircell, a company that provides mobile broadband services for commercial and business aviation.
At Aircell, ElDifrawi will oversee sales, marketing, customer care and portal design.
"ElDifrawi's impressive industry experience and track record of using brands to achieve growth make him an excellent fit for our team," says Michael Small, Aircell’s president and CEO. "We look forward to his unique insight as we enter the exciting next phase in our growth as a company."
Hayneedle last week announced that its two top executives switched jobs. Doug Nielsen, the company’s chairman, will take over as president and CEO. Carter Cast will move from that job to the chairman post.
