Eastern Mountain Sports Inc. has promoted two managers to director-level jobs. Kate Lynch now works as director of marketing and Marshall Merriam is director of merchandising.
Eastern Mountain Sports, No. 422 in the Internet Retailer Top 500, says both positions are new. Lynch, who has worked for Eastern Mountain for three years, was previously senior retail marketing manager. Merriam, with the company since June 2006, was product manager for footwear.
“Not only will these two new directors help shape the future of our internal talent,” says Ted Manning, executive vice president at the company. “I also expect Kate and Marshall to begin to reframe the manner in which we build relationships, specifically with the consumer and our industry."
Eastern Mountain sells outdoor gear, clothing and shoes, and operates 64 stores in 12 states.
