Sierra Trading Post, No. 73 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, initially offered the MyUpdates search tool on SierraTradingPost.com to enable shoppers to receive e-mail alerts about the availability of new or restocked products within general categories, such as shoes or outdoor sports gear, when those products were not currently available.
The first phase of MyUpdates also lets shoppers request notifications about the availability of specific brands such as Oakley, Ecco footwear and The North Face apparel and outerwear.
With the latest version of MyUpdates, shoppers can now request alerts on specific product SKUs, such as a particular combination of product, brand, color and size.
“Now it’s easier than ever for customers to find exactly what they’re looking for while taking advantage of Sierra Trading Post’s discounted prices,” says Wendy Croissant, e-mail marketing manager. “Enhanced MyUpdates means customers won’t have to spend as much time searching or coming back to check for replenished products, colors or sizes that they would on other discount retail sites.”
