Jon Hoch, CEO and founder of online retailer Power Equipment Direct, will offer an inside look at IRCE 2009 at how he recently redesigned one of his niche web sites, PressureWashersDirect.com, with new features that have boosted order activity.
PressureWashersDirect, one of several equipment retail sites operated by Power Equipment Direct, was redesigned with new features including side-by-side comparison shopping of up to four products simultaneously and the ability for customers to load personal stories and photos, Hoch says.
The new site also has a quick-search feature that lets shoppers narrow selections among 100 models of pressure washers with a few mouse clicks.
Hoch will speak in the June 15 session entitled First responder: What your site needs now. He’ll be joined in the session by Sherry Comes, president and founder of retailer CoffeeCakes.com, and Manivone Phommahaxay, senior user experience specialist at Molecular Inc., an e-commerce technology consulting and web design firm.
