Comparison shopping site Saveology.com names a new information officer

Saveology.com, a consumer comparison shopping portal, has named Steve Smith senior vice president and chief information officer.

Saveology.com, a consumer comparison shopping portal, has named Steve Smith senior vice president and chief information officer.

In the past, Smith worked at Electronic Data Systems, a subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard Corp., and at global technology services provider, Sabre, now Sabre Holdings Corp., and IBM.

Most recently, Smith worked as chief information officer at Idearc Media, an online directory publisher and content provider for communications products and services, and Travelport, a travel services provider.

In his new role, Smith will oversee all aspects of technology for Saveology.com including application development, infrastructure services, and product advancements.

"We are very excited to have Steve on board. His breadth of knowledge is a great asset to the Saveology.com executive team," says Benny Aboud, CEO of Saveology.com.
