Cellfire Inc., a provider of services that enable marketers to distribute mobile coupon and discount offers, has named Frank Careccia vice president of engineering. He will manage all of Cellfire’s software applications, mobile services and technology infrastructure.
Careccia has 25 years of engineering experience, including executive and senior engineering positions at Obopay, IPLocks Inc., Brandsoft Inc., Visto Corp., Inprise/Borland Corp, and BMC Software.
Cellfire delivers coupons and discounts to consumers via their mobile phones and provides updated discounts specific to each user’s geographic area. Cellfire’s application-based service enables consumers to store, search and use discounts across multiple merchants and locations.
Cellfire’s clients include Hardee’s, Hollywood Video, Papa Johns, Virgin Megastores, Taco Bueno, Wienerschnitzel, and local merchants across the U.S.
