Half of U.S. consumers have visited a weblog, and of those, nearly a third have clicked on a blog ad, reports research firm Synovate. 43% of blog visitors say they have noticed ads on blogs, and that rises to 61% among visitors age 18-24.
Nearly 90% of adults age 25-34-and 65% of those age 65 and over-know what a blog is, the study found. Among those aware of blogs, 78% of those age 18-24 say they have visited a blog, compared to 45% of older adults. Blogs are personal web site journals that often carry online ads.
