Crate & Barrel stacks up 20% web sales growth for 2006

Web retail sales rose 20% in 2006 for multi-channel retailer Crate & Barrel, which operates CrateandBarrel.com and CB2.com.

Web retail sales rose 20% in 2006 for multi-channel retailer Crate & Barrel, which operates CrateandBarrel.com and CB2.com. For the year, Crate & Barrel, No. 59 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, posted web sales of $234 million, compared with $195 million in the prior year.

The company, which is majority owned by the Otto Group, a German retailing, direct marketing and financial services company, reports monthly web visits of nearly 5 million in 2006 and monthly unique visitors of 3.4 million.

Crate & Barrel launched CB2.com in 2004.
