Electronic Arts Inc.’s EA.com, a site for downloading online games, led week-to-week growth in home-based web traffic for the week ended Aug. 13, Nielsen/NetRatings reports. BBCNews led in traffic growth from work-based web users.
Web traffic from homes to EA.com grew 102% to 925,000 unique visitors from 457,000 in the prior week, Nielsen says. 43% of the traffic for the week ended Aug. 13 went to the support section of EA.com, where gamers find assistance with their games and answers to frequently asked questions.
The site with the fastest growth work-generated traffic for the same week was BBC News, where the number of unique visitors increased 98% to 1.8 million from 888,000, Nielsen says.
