SmartBargains appoints Barton Litvin chief merchandising officer

Company to rely on background, leadership of former Boscov`s Department Store senior vice president and general merchandise manager.

SmartBargains Inc. has appointed Barton Litvin chief merchandising officer. Before joining SmartBargains Litvin served as senior vice president and general merchandise manager of home for Boscov`s Department Store LLC. Prior to Boscov`s, Litvin worked for Filenes in Boston.

"As SmartBargains continues on its growth course, we are excited to add such a seasoned executive to our management team," says SmartBargains CEO Ben Fischman. "Bart`s strong merchandising and leadership capabilities will be a valuable addition as we continue to strengthen and broaden our product offerings."
