Online sales grow 22% for week ending Oct. 16

Online sales for the week ending Oct. 16 grew 22%, reaching $1.64 billion from $1.34 billion in the corresponding week a year ago, comScore Networks Inc. reports.

By comparison, total retail sales for the week ending Oct. 15 were up 1.1% from the same week a year ago, reports ShopperTrak’s National Retail Sales Estimate.

Online travel sales for week ending Oct. 16 were up 15% to $1.35 billion from $1.18 billion in the corresponding week a year ago, comScore reports.
