CircuitCity.com experienced the second largest increase, with site visits rising 43% to 6.81 million from 4.77 million a year earlier; followed by BestBuy.com, up 42% to 12.1 million from 8.5 million a year earlier; OSTG, up 22% to 3.23 million from 2.64 million; Radio Shack, up 22% to 2.2 million from 1.8 million; and CompUSA, up 4% to 2.16 million from 2.08 million.
Three sites experienced declines, with site visits at Sony dropping 19% to 2.32 million from 2.88 million a year earlier. Sony Electronics experienced a 13% drop to 3.4 million from 3.9 million and eBay Electronics reported a 1% decrease to 8.1 million from 8.2 million.
BestBuy recorded the most traffic, followed by eBay Electronics, CircuitCity.com, eBay Computers (5.5 million visits), Sony Electronics, OSTG, TigerDirect.com, Sony, Radio Shack and CompUSA.com.
In the top 10 multi-category computers and consumer electronics sites ranked by time per visit, CDW led with 25 minutes, 51 seconds; followed by eBay Electronics, 16 minutes, 50 seconds; eBay Computers, 13 minutes; TigerDirect.com, 11 minutes, 24 seconds; Canon, 10 minutes, 4 seconds; OSTG, 9 minutes, 55 seconds; BestBuy.com, 9 minutes, 8 seconds; CircuitCity.com, 8 minutes, 44 seconds; Sony Electronics, 8 minutes, 20 seconds; and gamestop.com, 8 minutes, 15 seconds.
Also in June, United Online had the most online ad impressions in the retail goods and services industry, according to Nielsen’s AdRelevance report. The leading companies in the report and their number of impressions (in millions):
