Boat retailer Defender Industries names an e-commerce manager

Defender Industries has named Brian Mogel as e-commerce department manager, responsible for design, functionality, usability, merchandising and marketing.

Defender Industries, a retailer of boating supplies, has named Brian Mogel as e-commerce department manager, responsible for design, functionality, usability, merchandising and marketing at Defender.com. Defender reports that the Internet is the company’s fastest growing sales channel.

Mogel joined Defender last year as web content manager, with experience in web design, IT and sales as well as boatbuilding. Defender is a family-owned marine outfitter that sells via the web, catalogues and a 110,000-square-foot warehouse store in Waterford, CT.
