Shopping.com’s shopper traffic doubles this holiday season over last year

Shopping comparison site Shopping.com reports it served 58 million shoppers from the day after Thanksgiving until Christmas, double the number from the year before. The growing number of women shoppers is changing the rankings of popular categories.

Shopping comparison site Shopping.com reports that it served 76 million shoppers from the day after Thanksgiving until Jan. 4, 81% higher than the number of shoppers it hosted the year before. Those shoppers visited retailers` sites 38 million times during that period and spent $237 million with merchants referred from Shopping.com, up 121% from $107 million the year before.

Shopping.com says that 52% of its users are women, a development which propelled the Home and Garden category into first place on Shopping.com.

3. Clothing and Accessories (4)
4. Jewelry and Watches (5)
