BlueLight.com is laying off some of its marketing and merchandising staff as it looks to use Kmart Corp.‘s staff in those areas. The layoffs are to cut operating costs, BlueLight says. The action will take place immediately, the company says. BlueLight officials did not comment on the number of staff cuts it will make. BlueLight says the cuts will eliminate duplicate jobs. Kmart will support marketing and merchandising functions for BlueLight.com from its Troy, MI, headquarters.
