“Notwithstanding clouds on the European economic horizon, the region’s Internet market remains quite formidable,” says a new report on European Internet and e-retailing users from New York-based researchers eMarketer Inc. The upshot: Europe has a larger population than the U.S., with a relatively high per-capita income. Internet users will explode from 108 million this year to 255 million in 2004.
