The European e-markets: Poised for growth

The soon-to-explode European market.

“Notwithstanding clouds on the European economic horizon, the region’s Internet market remains quite formidable,” says a new report on European Internet and e-retailing users from New York-based researchers eMarketer Inc. The upshot: Europe has a larger population than the U.S., with a relatively high per-capita income. Internet users will explode from 108 million this year to 255 million in 2004. Anyone who wants to get into Europe needs to move now. This page shows growth by country and relative importance of each country to e-Europe. All data comes from The eEurope Report, April 2001, by eMarketer.
