The search giant today rolled out new ways for marketers to understand the in-store impact of their ads.
Leading comparison shopping site BESTeDEAL.com has launched SuperSearch, which it says is a new technology that enables consumers to search in real time numerous comparison shopping sites and online retailers simultaneously for the best prices on thousands of products sold on the Web. The site has also raised $1 million in a "seed" round of financing, which it says will be used to expand marketing efforts.
The New York City-based company, originally focusing on books, music and movies, has expanded its product categories to include consumer electronics, computers and travel. The company plans to add mortgage and automobile categories soon, it says. BESTeDEAL.com provides users with a list of sellers and prices of thousands of products sold on the Web. After a search, users can select a particular vendor and be linked directly to its site to complete the purchase.
The company says that it is also actively implementing a strategy to extend the application of the SuperSearch technology to the B-to-B marketplace.
