New site groups small retailers

DownOnMainStreet.com Inc., an Atlanta-based e-commerce facilitator, launched its site to bring small business to the Internet. The site features products from small family-owned retail businesses from across the country, starting with 35 stores in several Atlanta suburbs. DownOnMainStreet features thousands of products from all lines of retail. Most of the stores on the site feature handmade and/or unique products. Shoppers can buy from any number of stores at once, eliminating the need to check out of each store before moving on to the next one. Visitors can browse through a random sampling of stores each day on the company's unique eMainStreet.
