E-commerce software solutions provider Smith-Gardner says that J. Baker Inc., a "big and tall" apparel retailer, has selected Smith-Gardner's WebOrder Enterprise Edition to power its online Repp Ltd. Big & Tall and Casual Male Big & Tall businesses. WebOrder allows for Web site personalization, one-to-one merchandising and customer service functions such as real-time order and inventory status and same-day order fulfillment, says the Delray Beach, Fla.-based firm.
J. Baker operates 451 Casual Male Big & Tall stores in the U.S., 136 Repp Ltd. Big & Tall stores, as well as the Repp Ltd. by Mail catalog. The company sells private-label and brand-name men's apparel and footwear. WebOrder is a multi-company, multi-divisional front and back-end system that will enable J. Baker to implement a single e-commerce architecture for both Casual Male and Repp Ltd. With a single corporate database, J. Baker's e-commerce operations can run more efficiently and cost-effectively, Smith-Gardner says, while providing centralized marketing and customer relationship management functions.
