Newell Rubbermaid is ready to make a stronger push into e-commerce. The consumer brand manufacturer, which owns Rubbermaid, Sharpie, Calphalon, Lenox, Paper Mate and Graco, has hired Jeremy Liebowitz as vice president, global e-commerce. He takes over the newly created position for Newell Rubbermaid.
Liebowitz will oversee online sales worldwide, the company says.
“E-commerce is our single biggest growth opportunity and an area where we expect to make substantial investments under Jeremy's leadership,” says Mark Tarchetti, Newell Rubbermaid's chief development officer. Liebowitz reports to Tarchetti.
Liebowitz comes to Newell Rubbermaid from Jarden Consumer Solutions, where he was vice president of digital commerce and marketing. Jarden is also a major consumer brand manufacturer, with brands such as Oster, Crock Pot and Mr. Coffee. Prior to Jarden, Liebowitz held marketing and e-commerce positions with Limited Brands and Tracfone Wireless.
