Set & Save allows shoppers to lock in the lowest available prices.
Health and wellness products retailer Vitacost.com Inc. is beefing up its automatic reorder program with the launch today of Set & Save.
The new program is similar to a previous one called AutoShip in that shoppers can have products they select automatically shipped at designated intervals of time. But Set & Save also allows shoppers to lock in the lowest available price on products scheduled for re-delivery. Prices often fluctuate depending on seasonality, inventory availability or special promotions.
Customers can choose to have products re-delivered every 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 or 120 days, with orders totaling $49 or higher shipped for free. The price is locked for the period of the delivery cycle, so, for example, if a consumer has products delivered every 30 days, she gets the lowest price in each 30 day period.
Vitacost, No. 86 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, is also offering an additional 10% off select items added to the program, a dedicated customer service line and free gifts with scheduled shipments. After a customer has paid for 12 Set & Save shipments, the 13th is free, Vitacost says.
There are no brand restrictions on the program, so all 35,000 of Vitacost’s products are available for automatic delivery.
“Set & Save gives customers the unique ability to secure the lowest price on the products they order most often, from peanut butter to vitamins to organic toothpaste,” says CEO Jeffery Horowitz. “This program increases Vitacost’s value and connection to our customers.”
