SearchDex Appoints an Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing

February 22, 2011, Dallas, TX - SearchDex, the specialty SEO firm for large e-tailers, today announced that Alan Burks has joined the company as EVP of Sales and Marketing. Burks joins SearchDex at a time when the SEO sector is enjoying explosive growth and large e-tailers are seeking sophisticated providers to tailor innovative SEO programs.

Burks is an experienced sales and marketing executive with a successful track record at public and private growth companies in retailing. At SearchDex Burks will bring this experience to bear, driving sales and marketing with an emphasis on large and growing ecommerce clients.

Additionally, Burks was EVP and CMO of Haggar Clothing, a branded and private label menswear company with revenues of nearly $500MM. During his 12-year tenure at the company Burks doubled the private label entity and launched and built a new sportswear brand into a business generating 65% of total volume and 70% of its profits - offsetting market-driven product category declines.

Before joining the apparel industry, Burks spent 17 years in global account management roles with Ogilvy and DDB.
