Greg Janecek has joined the company as senior vice president of sales and marketing.
Austin, TX – February 22, 2011 – Today Reddwerks Corporation, the leading supplier of event-driven, Internet-enabled WMS and WCS software and solutions used in large-scale distribution facilities, announced that Greg Janecek has joined the company as SVP Sales & Marketing. Previously in charge of enterprise sales at Amazon, Greg has 25 years account management and sales experience with high technology companies.
While at Amazon, Greg focused on Fortune 500 customers in southwest United States and achieved 360 percent revenue growth for that territory. As Director of Business Development, he developed the go-to-market strategy for Amazon.com’s multichannel e-commerce platform and managed the Amazon and Target.com relationship. Prior to Amazon, Greg was Director of Business Development at Aspentech, a leader specializing in supply chain solutions for the chemical, oil & gas and petroleum industries. He held several global account managerial positions at companies such as PetroVantage, ABB Automation and Parametric Technology. He was also a Project Engineer with Rockwell’s Airborne Communications Systems.
“Greg’s retail, e-commerce and supply chain experience will be a tremendous asset for Reddwerks moving forward selling to Fortune 500 customers especially in the retail and distribution markets,” said Jean Bélanger, Founder and CEO at Reddwerks. “Large distribution facilities can generate over 300,000 events and inventory moves per day - from the receiving gate to conveyors and sorters to the shipping - and more than ever, users need dynamic software and real-time business intelligence tools. Our Reddwerks software is the first event-driven WMS and WCS software specifically targeted for use by the largest Tier 1 users where real-time performance and out-of-rders execution are necessary for maximum productivity coupled with the lowest possible operating costs. Batch-based WMS and WCS software simply cannot keep up with so many events requiring instantaneous and automated decision making so an ever increasing number of Tier 1 accounts are coming to Reddwerks to provide them with one software solution for all their warehousing and distribution facility needs.”
Greg received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northern Illinois University. He will be based in Reddwerks’ Austin TX headquarters.
Reddwerks is based in Austin TX with an R&D office in Guatemala and sales in Nashville, St. Louis and San Francisco.
