CHICO, Calif. June 22, 2004 – Travidia Inc., the market leader in online advertising for newspapers and retailers throughout North America and Europe, said today that Seattle’s two major newspapers and a leading Gannett Co. newspaper are among new clients that will use its services to enhance online advertising and marketing services.

The Seattle Times Company, which also represents the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, and Gannett Co.’s The Arizona Republic join more than 100 newspapers being served by Travidia.

“We are pleased to be partnering with more of the leading media organizations in the country,” said John Strisower, Founder and CEO of Travidia. “These newspapers are using our technology to better serve retail advertisers online and their readers.”

Travidia’s products help newspapers unlock online revenue opportunities while providing retailers and website visitors with an added benefit. Travidia’s patent-pending technology converts print display advertisements and circulars into online advertisements accessible through a searchable database.

Travidia’s Integrated Marketplace product combines all the advertising elements of the newspapers so readers can access display ads, special sections, pre-prints and classified ads in one solution. Newspapers are also turning to Travidia for its comprehensive e-mail campaign management.

“After extensive diligence we chose Travidia for their strong technology and user interface design,” said Patricia Lee Smith, Director, New Ventures & Development for The Seattle Times Company Online. “We’re on course for an August launch of our retail print-to-web program in the NWsource Shopping channel. And we’re looking forward to collaborating with Travidia on developing new features that provide retailers with creative solutions to connect with our tech-savvy Web audience.”

Travidia began in 1998 and has grown from a handful of employees to more than 140 today. “We are continuing to expand our team of marketing and technology specialists to meet our client needs and the growing interest in leveraging offline advertising online,” Mr. Strisower said.
