For B2B companies that want to move away from taking orders through phone, fax and e-mail, NetSuite has launched a service for accelerating deployment of its B2B e-commerce platform.
NetSuite Inc. announced at the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition last week a new service for speeding up the deployment of its business-to-business e-commerce technology for wholesale distributors.
NetSuite provides Internet-hosted or cloud- based software, branded SuiteCommerce, for operating e-commerce sites. It also provides cloud-based back-end enterprise resource planning software for managing business operations like financial accounting and inventory records.
The company introduced in May B2B e-commerce software packaged as the SuiteCommerce B2B Customer Center. It includes modules for setting purchasing limits by buyers, processing single or multiple invoices, setting up recurring order forms, and viewing dashboards with such data as available credit and past purchases. It also features responsive design technology for rendering web content across mobile as well as desktop screens.
The new technology accelerator, SuiteCommerce Implementation Service, is designed to shorten the time required to get distributors operating with the NetSuite B2B e-commerce software suite and integrate it with their back-end accounting software.
The accelerator comes in two versions, standard and premium. The standard edition includes such features as quick ordering, type-ahead site search, and developing and reviewing contract price quotes. The premium edition adds such features as product comparisons, newsletter publishing, recently viewed items, and special sections for displaying products.
“We’re committed to helping wholesale distributors stay competitive by helping them to cost-effectively increase market share and reach new customers,” says Andy Lloyd, general manager of commerce products.
NetSuite didn’t disclosing pricing for the new accelerator. The cost to companies to deploy NetSuite SuiteCommerce software starts at $1,600 per month and is adjusted upward based on the type of installation and the number of users, the company says.
