The social network says that rather than hire a new chief operating officer it will spread the position’s responsibilities among other executives.
Twitter Inc.’s Ali Rowghani has resigned from his position as the social network’s chief operating officer, he announced in a tweet.
Rowghani will remain a Twitter employee as a strategic advisor to CEO Dick Costolo, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Twitter says that it doesn’t plan to hire a new chief operating officer; instead it will spread the position’s responsibilities among other members of its management team.
Prior to joining Twitter in 2010, Rowghani was chief financial officer at Pixar, according to his LinkedIn profile.
