The call for an audit of Facebook’s metrics comes a week after the social network acknowledged inflating its video metrics.
Subscribers to Top500Guide.com, home to Internet Retailer’s global database of e-commerce information, will now receive a new weekly newsletter that presents important metrics and analyzes timely e-commerce trends and data.
Top500Guide.com, launched by Internet Retailer in 2009, is the world’s largest e-commerce database featuring a universe of more than 500,000 individual data points.
Each week the latest edition of the Top 500 Insider will feature an in-depth article and chart analyzing key e-commerce metrics drawn from Top500Guide.com, or use data from Top500Guide.com to analyze current business trends impacting the e-retailing market or breaking industry news.
Each edition also features charts breaking out other key e-commerce data and a brief explanation for each, an e-commerce fast fact and a quote of the week. Readers will be able to access a popular report archive and a widely read report based on data from the Top 500 Guide, Second 500 Guide, China 500, Europe 500, Latin America 400, Mobile 500 or other Internet Retailer research products.
Top 500 Insider is the latest value-added feature Internet Retailer is offering subscribers to Top500Guide.com. The goal of Top 500 Insider is to help Top500Guide.com users better understand key data and trends in ways that will help them make more informed e-commerce business decisions, says Vertical Web Media president and CEO Molly Love Rogers. Currently Top500Guide.com provides hundreds of individual data points on 3,750 online retail businesses around the globe, making Top500Guide.com the e-commerce industry’s most readily available and premier database, Rogers says.
“While the data reports are extremely helpful to our members, we are now going to help our members break down the meaning behind the most interesting and crucial data,” Rogers says. “The content will interpret and convey the underlying meaning behind the numbers and will help the online retailers we serve with analysis to help with making critical business strategies.”
Content for Top 500 Insider is compiled, reported and analyzed by the editors of Internet Retailer’s research department, Internet Retailer magazine and InternetRetailer.com. “With our staff of 18 editors, the largest group of journalists focused solely on covering e-commerce and online retailing, we have the expertise to dig deep into the e-commerce data we collect and to analyze industry trends and news with an insider’s eye,” says Stefany Zaroban, Internet Retailer associate director of research and editor of Top 500 Insider. “Our goal with each edition of Top 500 Insider is to showcase key business information and analysis to help our subscribers really understand what the e-commerce data mean to them.”
Top 500 Insider is free to subscribers of Top500Guide.com and can be accessed from each subscriber’s dashboard, an easy-to-use navigation tool that subscribers use to see current and, going forward, past insider reports or analysis, manage their subscriptions, view popular reports and access their own library of archived reports based on the custom criteria they selected. Today’s launch is a bonus offer for all database subscribers and it is available for purchase for $120 per year by non-subscribers.
