E-commerce services firm Commerce Guys has raised $7.3 million in a Series B funding round. Venture capital company Hi Inov led the round, which also included ISAI, Alven Capital and Open Ocean Capital.

Commerce Guys raised $5 million more than two years ago, in a round led by Alven Capital.

Commerce Guys says its expertise focuses on Drupal Commerce, an open source content management system that the company’s retailer clients use for their online stores. Drupal Commerce enables e-retailers to perform such tasks as uploading catalogs, accepting payments and integrating with shipping services, and about 38,000 sites use Drupal, Commerce Guys says.

The new capital will go toward the global launch of the vendor’s web-hosted Platform.sh e-commerce development tool.

"We are very pleased to welcome Hi Inov among the investors of Commerce Guys. This round of funding will enable a significant boost in sales and marketing around our cloud solution, Platform.sh,” says Frédéric Plais, chairman and CEO of Commerce Guys. “Launched last month, it has been very favorably received by Drupal sites’ end users and our integration partners around the world.”
