Intershop Partners with Dutch Software and Services Provider Calago

- Calago selects Intershop as strategic partner to exploit growing B2B e-commerce market
- Underlines growth of Intershop’s Global Partner Network

Jena, Germany, July 16, 2013 – Intershop, the leading independent e-commerce software solutions provider, today announces that Netherlands-based software and services provider Calago has become the latest implementation partner for Intershop business-to-business e-commerce software.

Intershop emerged as the clear leader following an in-depth evaluation of e-commerce providers by Calago, which targets companies in Benelux and Northern Germany from its base in Meppel in the Netherlands.

Calago decided to join the Intershop Global Partner Network in order to benefit from Intershop’s best-in-class support for business models such as B2B, B2B2C and B2P, where, behind-the-scenes, processes tend to be tremendously complex in terms of approval processes, pricing and budget regulations.

As well as reselling the Intershop 7 e-commerce platform, Calago is adding extended Product Master Data Management expertise. As a result, Calago customers can benefit from faster, simpler time-to-market, flexibility, and a more unified user experience thanks to buying solutions for both PIM (product information management) and e-commerce from a single supplier.

For Intershop, the deal with Calago is a proof point of its plans to extend its Global Partner Network, and helps accelerate Intershop’s planned strategic growth.

In choosing Intershop, Calago demonstrates that it has understood the growing importance of e-commerce in the business-to-business market, and recognizes Intershop’s proven ability to integrate with other systems and complementary solutions.

The seamless scalability of Intershop 7 e-commerce software, from midsize to large enterprise, was another key factor for the Dutch e-commerce, mobile commerce, publishing and product data management solutions provider.
