Web sales grew slightly faster than store sales for apparel chain retailer The Buckle Inc. in the first quarter.
For the first quarter ended May 4, The Buckle, No. 225 in the 2012 Internet Retailer Top 500, reported:
- Web sales increased 6.1% year over to $20.9 million from $19.7 million.
- Total revenue grew 2.2% to $269.7 million from $263.8 million in the first quarter of 2012.
- Comparable-store sales increased 1.2%.
- Net income was $37.6 million, a slight dip from $37.8 million in the first quarter of 2012.
The web accounted for 7.7% of total sales in the first quarter, up from 7.5% in Q1 last year.
