Discover’s Verify+ WebService allows a merchant’s fraud verification agent to authenticate cardholder details before fulfilling an order.
Edison, NJ, March 19 2013 – ReD, a leading global provider of fraud prevention and payment services, has collaborated with Discover to provide customers of its ReD Shield real-time fraud prevention service with a direct interface to the Discover Verify+ WebService, for purchase data authentication. ReD Shield is the first online fraud prevention service to incorporate this functionality.
Discover’s Verify+ WebService allows a merchant’s fraud verification agent to authenticate cardholder details before fulfilling an order. The agent simply accesses the service directly, with a one-button click, from the ReD Shield Customer Service Interface.
Kevin Sprake, ReD president for North America, said: “ReD Shield already provides merchants with an industry-leading fraud prevention service that is customized to reduce outsorts, lower false positives and manage chargebacks. We are constantly looking for ways to further improve our service. By enabling merchants to validate cardholder data to ship products faster to Discover cardholders, this new functionality - incorporated into our ReD Fraud Xchange™ service - will help to improve customer relationships and drive revenue growth.”
