OmahaSteaks.com Inc. is serving shoppers a mobile app designed for the iPhone. Called Omaha Steaks Steak Time App, it is designed to make gift shopping on a smartphone easy and convenient, says Omaha Steaks, No. 124 in the Internet Retailer Top 500.
The mobile commerce app enables shoppers to browse and purchase gifts from the Omaha Steaks store within the app. Features and functions include:
- A Grilling Timer that enables a user to create a personalized steak timer setting for each guest. The timer indicates when to put the steaks on the grill and exactly when to turn them to achieve the specific degree of doneness that each guest prefers.
- Conversation cards that provide a host of conversation starters for parties.
- Informational videos including Steak 101 training and how-to videos to help prepare meals.
- Social media integration allowing a user to share hundreds of recipes and tips in the app with his friends on Facebook and Twitter.
“Our Steak Time App is just one more way we are making it easier for our customers to shop with Omaha Steaks,” says president Bruce Simon.
The Steak Time App is available for free in Apple Inc.’s App Store.
