A headphones retailer devoted to both style and performance, Urbanears.com earns big style points for its unique web site design. The site’s home page is dominated by a palette with 14 colors that sits next to five headphone styles. A pop-up window urges shoppers to drag and drop the colors on to the images to give the headphones a unique look. Shoppers don’t have to leave the home page to view their desired product information, as a bevy of product specs, images and videos load beneath the fold. Launched in 2008, the Sweden-based retailer set out with the belief that headphones should be viewed more as a fashionable item like clothing than electronics, so that its users can be fashionable while enjoying a great listening experience.
