But the e-commerce site of Stratus Vineyards caters to the kind of buyers of premium wines who often do care about those types of details. StratusWines.com presents on its product pages technical specifications of the wine, winemaker notes, reviews and suggested food pairings. “We’re touching a small corner of the wine marketplace, and that corner is collecting wines for aging and wants that information,” says Suzanne Janke, director of hospitality and retail. The redesigned site, unveiled in March, features a clean, elegant design and navigation structure. The chic, contemporary feel of the web site, Janke says, is designed to match the style of the Ontario winery itself.
