Abbott, who still runs his own analytics consulting firm, is a former software algorithm expert at data mining and analytics technology consultants Elder Research Inc. and defense industry contractor Lockheed Martin.
In September 2011, Smarter Remarketer hired as its chief executive Howard Bates, who had formerly been president of defense industry contractor Kratos Defense and Security Solutions and president of Haverstick Consulting, a unit of Kratos involved in information technology services.
